What is Direct Mercury Analysis ?
Direct mercury testing utilizes the world's most advanced method for total mercury content measurement. It requires no sample pretreatment and can be used directly on gaseous, solid, and liquid samples,
eliminating mercury loss, cross-contamination, and environmental contamination during sample pretreatment.

They can be used to rapidly measure total mercury in environmental samples such as soil, sludge, and wastewater. They are also suitable for rapid testing of total mercury in food, agricultural products, cosmetics,
copper concentrate, iron ore, feed, fertilizer, and coal for power generation.
The test is fast, completing each sample in just 2-4 seconds.
Compared to traditional wet mercury testing, direct mercury testing can process larger sample volumes, up to 20-45 samples at a time.
The working principle is as follows: The sample is heated, dried, and burned (pyrolyzed) in a stream of oxygen (or air). The decomposition products are carried by the airflow to a high-temperature catalyst for oxidation.
Simultaneously, interfering substances such as halogens, nitrogen oxides, and sulfur dioxide are absorbed by the catalyst. The remaining decomposition products are then transported to a gold trap, where mercury atoms
are selectively captured. The mercury in the gold trap is then heated, atomized secondary, and the oxygen-carrying mercury atoms are then detected in a cold atomic absorption detector (253.7 nm).

The testing process is very simple.
1. Weigh the sample.
2. Place the sample in the sample boat. The disc-type sampler can hold 45 samples at a time and can be added repeatedly, allowing for unattended operation.
3. Testing is completed in 2-4 minutes.
Equipped with data management software, users can intuitively view data and curve changes.
